Sleep Easy By My Side
The human was breathing softly, almost hesitantly, as if he was ever so slightly on edge. His eyelids flickered and he took in a deep breath, letting it out slowly. The air that escape his lungs was hot on my skin, and I nearly flinched from the feel of it. He was attempting to sleep, if he wasn't already, and though he had insisted I join him, I couldn't find sleep as easily as he had. I had too much on my mind.
